A recent study from the United States’ Center for Education has revealed that four years is 130 longer the norm when it comes to earning a Bachelor’s degree. Some students are taking more than five years to get one - if they finish at all. The study showed that only about 33 per cent of the 1 million students nationwide who started college full time in autumn 1996 graduated in four years. Students who took five years accounted for 16 percent, while about 5 percent finished their coursework in six years. The rest of the students took even longer to graduate. Some never did.
