填空题

Sheridan:
The rise of The Da Vinci Code phenomenon — book and now movie — began with the dropping of a name that, undoubtedly, means genius: Leonardo da Vinci. In his childhood Da Vinci displayed extraordinary artistic talent. But his range of talent went far beyond art alone. He was also a scientist who made contributions to biology, geography ... And, by the way, he also created what might be the most famous painting of all time: Mona Lisa. If I created a list of the top ten most significant figures in the history of this world, I would definitely put Leonardo near the top.
Taylor:
It’s difficult to narrow it to ten, but in addition to Leonardo Da Vinci, a top ten list would include Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilei, Aristotle, Thomas Edison, Michelangelo, Euclid, Rene Descartes, Plato, Nicholas Copernicus, and Louis Pasteur. Well, that’s eleven, all of whom changed the course of history with their knowledge.
Kent:
I think I’ll leave the names of the most significant figures in history to be named by those with much more brain cells than I. However I will give an honorable mention to the person who invented eye drops. Since I’ve become addicted to reading all the comments on the Blog, my vision has blurred into a haze. Yes, indeed ... The eye drop inventor has my vote. Good work as always. Take Care.
Mark:
I’m sure there will be a ton of differing opinions but I think Ernesto Guevara belongs on your list. He’s the symbol of rebellion, revolution and courage. If you’ve ever been to Cuba, you’ll understand why so many people admire him. He was and is a legend. Born into a well-to-do family with the title of Doctor under his belt, he gave it all up to fight a cause he believed In.
Dave Winfield:
Without literary figures much of history would be lost, in no particular order — Homer (荷马) — yes, I know he really didn’t exist but we use the name anyway; Shakespeare — yes, he did write everything that is attributed to him; the writers of Gilgamesh — for giving the authors of the Bible and other religious volumes many good ideas; John Smith — in spite of his gross exaggerations, he left us with keen insight as to the first settlements in the New World. That’s not 10, but it completes my incomplete list.
