Directions:The following is a short introduction to
Housing New Zealand. After reading it, you are required to complete the answers
that follow the questions (No.58 to No.62). You should write your answers (in no
more than 3 words) on the Answer Sheet correspondingly. When thinking about renting or buying a house, it’s hard
to know where to start. Housing New Zealand is here to help you.
If you would like to apply for social housing, your first step is to talk
to the Ministry of Social Development (社会发展部) about your housing needs. They’ll
discuss your situation with you, and look at the best way to help.
Then, if you are eligible (有资格的) for social housing, they’ll arrange an
interview for you. To get started, call Work and Income on 0800
559 009, or Senior Services on 0800 552 002 if you’re over 65.
