Education is not an end, but a means to an end. In other words, we do not educate children only for the purpose of educating them; our purpose is to fit them for life. 【B1】 we realize this fact, we will understand that it is very important to 【B2】 a system of education which will really prepare children for life.
In many modern countries it has 【B3】 been accepted that, by free education for all — whether rich or poor, clever or stupid — we can solve 【B4】 of society and build a 【B5】 nation. But we can already see that free education for all is not 【B6】 : we find in such countries 【B7】 people with university degrees than 【B8】 jobs for them to do. Because of their degrees, they refuse to do what they think "low" work.
But we have only to think for a moment to understand that the work of a completely uneducated 【B9】 is far more important than 【B10】 : we can live 【B11】 education, but we 【B12】 if we have no food. If no one cleaned our streets and took the 【B13】 away from our houses, we 【B14】 terrible diseases in our towns.
