[参考范文] The Town I Live in Like many other ordinary small cities, the town I live in is not very large and populous. There are no grand buildings, nor any famous historical monuments and scenic spots. But it is peaceful and prosperous. My town is divided into two parts by a river. There is a bridge across the river. On one side of the river is the old city; and on the other a new city. I like the fiver very much, for its water is pure and fresh, and we get a good deal of amusement out of it in swimming, fishing and boating. In the old city, the streets are for the most part narrow and winding. The houses are small and mean. But now the new and tall buildings are being built in this part. There are broad roads in the new city. They are bordered with fine, shady trees, and lined with large, imposing buildings. You can find government offices and other public buildings there. There are also supermarkets, theatres and banks. With the economic development of our country, my hometown is changing rapidly.
