Dear Parents/Guardians.
Based on your address above, your choice school request, or your child’s special program location, your child is assigned to attend West Park Place Elementary beginning in August 2011. No further action is required for attendance in that school.
If you are considering a different school for your child, you must apply for State School Choice for the 2011—2012 school year. The State School Choice application open
period begins on November 1, 2010. Choice applications must be received no later than 4:00 pm on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in the Education Options office of the Christina School District.
Beginning in the 2011—2012 school year, the Christina School District plans to have
Full Day Kindergarten in all elementary schools in the district. It is not necessary to
complete a choice application for Full Day Kindergarten unless you would prefer that your child attend a school other than your assigned school.
Students not currently attending a public school must be pre-registered in your feeder school for your resident in order for your choice application to be processed.
Many of our schools are currently at capacity and may be closed to Choice later in the process. If you are completing a choice application, please list your choice schools in priority order.
The 2011—2012 State School Choice applications are available at any public school, public school district administrative office, or you may apply on line at the Christina School District website, www. christina, k12. de. us.
