Dear Mr. Khatarni,
Thank you for attending your recent check-up with Dr. Reilly. At that time, he explained that the pain you are experiencing is due to a tooth that is rotten and needs to be treated.
As discussed with him, you now need two further appointments to successfully repair your damaged tooth. The first will last for approximately 3o minutes and involve cleaning and preparing the tooth, taking an impression and fitting a temporary cap. A week later, you will need a second appointment of about the same length to insert a permanent filling. You stated in your talks with Dr. Reilly that you would like to use the filling that is the most popular, so that is what we have selected for you.
I have reserved you two appointments at the beginning of next month as requested. Please let me know if that is convenient or if you need to reschedule.
Sincerely,
Amanda Connor, Office Receptionist

Report on the Benefits of Gold Fillings
April 13
Dublin
Dentists hove long recommended gold as the best type of tooth filling because of the material’s strength. A gold filling can last a lifetime, without repeated need to return for replacement fillings. Most dental offices in Ireland have brochures that help patients make _the wise choice of gold.
Despite ell this, we have had only limited success in convincing patients to select gold fillings. Many patients state that gold is unsightly, because its bright gleam draws attention to the filled tooth. Ceramic, on the other hand, is white, end so blends in with the other teeth.
This year, IDAS is launching a campaign to inform people throughout the country of the great benefits of using gold as a filling. We’ll be inviting over many top celebrities to star in commercials where they show their gold fillings. We think that such advertisements will result in more ordinary citizens choosing gold over ceramic and silver.

Why is the IDAS launching a celebrity campaign

A. To increase patient visits
B. To change public attitudes
C. To encourage tooth maintenance
D. To raise money for charity
