Margaret Stephens: We expect equal pay for equal work during our work. Work always shows identity and status of a man. However, the same often holds true for a woman. We hope that our husbands can take our jobs as seriously as theirs. I worked as a nurse, he, a sales-manager. I followed him wherever he went. Each time he was transferred, I had to find a new job for myself. It wasn’t until I received an award from my hospital that he realized how much emotion I had devoted to my profession. Barbra Stern: It is said that men and women solve problems in different ways. A man tends to be direct-line up all his options, select the best one, and then proceed. Women are direct, too, but they may also choose a less obvious path. Women really want men to respect the special ways they have when analyzing problems. When men struggle with a problem, they stay right with it, but often get more and more worried. Women are inclined to simply let problems solve themselves. Cindy Rodgers: Men tend to be romantic, and often fall in love more quickly than women. Women usually concentrate on practical considerations when choosing a mate and pursue long-term qualities with their partner. Far more than men, they allow their heads to control their hearts. Even though women may long for love, they often ask themselves, "Can I rely on this many" So any man who hopes to break off with a woman had better lengthen his timetable. Nora Kent: As for being alone, men often feel more uncomfortable than women and they tend to get bored more easily. Some men want to control their wives and they get upset when they aren’t accompanied by their wives. Women need to take time off to shop, read, recharge batteries and a man shouldn’t feel hurt if his wife doesn’t like to spend every free minute with him. When a woman takes time to be alone, she’s thinking to be autonomous. Jessica Vicino: A woman wants almost everything a man wants: success, power, status, money, love, marriage, happiness, fulfillment and so on. Few women enjoy being a mother, secretary or general picker upper for their husbands. A woman wants the man in her life to be equal, to respect her strengths, treats her weakness with kindness and generosity. In a word, she wants a friend, a lover and a partner who understands her.
