China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is a private, voluntary, non-profit organization registered in 1991. The CICC is based in Beijing and is present, with local offices, in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Shenzhen. Its over 300 members include major Italian industrial groups, banks, law firms, insurance and transport companies, as well as small and medium sized enterprises.
The CICC regularly informs its members of the Chinese economy and business environment and provides advice and support whenever required by its members. The Chamber edits several publications, among them the Economic Bulletin, issued twice a year, on the economic situation in the P. R. C.
The web-site of the CICC (www.cameraitacina.com) is another multilingual instrument that the Chamber puts a disposal of its Members and the public, which provides updated information on the Chamber activities, on the events organized by the CICC, on business opportunities, etc.
The CICC also organizes meetings for its members and entrepreneurs with prominent guests from Italy and leading Chinese Governments officials and economists. The CICC liaises with the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Trade Commission offices in China to co-ordinate and implement programs of common interest.
The services offered by the CICC, either to its members or to any Italian or Chinese operator and enterprise are aimed at increasing the commercial exchanges between Italy and China by:
· Supplying information of economic, commercial and legislative nature;
· Organizing commercial missions and personalized meetings;
· Promoting commercial and industrial opportunities.
