How to approach Reading Test Part
Seven ·In this part of the Reading Test you take information from two
short texts in order to complete a form. ·Read both texts. Try to get an
overall understanding of the texts. ·Then read the form. Look back at the
texts and complete your answers. ·Make sure that you look across both texts
for each answer. Sometimes there is extra information in the other text which
changes your first answer. ·Check your answers one more time, looking across
both texts. ·Read the fax and the note below. ·Complete the stationery
order form on the opposite page. ·Write a word or phrase (in CAPITAL LETTERS)
or a number on lines 41 - 45.

PAGE I To: Moira Jones. Sales Dept From: Sheila
Murphy, Stationery Office Date: 15 December 2001 Moira I’ve received
your stationery order for this month. Could you just confirm a
few things You didn’t say how many diaries you need. I assume you need
the normal four And are you sure you want 100 envelopes as usual I’ve noticed
your department has been using them up quite quickly. Also, you ordered 50 red
pens this month - and the same last month. Is this a mistake Sheila Dear
Sheila Thanks for your fax. The normal number of diaries will be fine. And
could you double our usual number of envelopes You’re right - I did make a
mistake. It should be BLUE pens. If there are any problems, just call me or
Paula Knight. Moira
