[听力原文]National and international economic events and trends often have direct influences on local business, industry and labour. A depression, major unemployment, inflation, a poor wheat crop in one country and frost damage to coffee trees in another all can affect the economic life of a community. The great variety of stories from business, industry, agriculture and labour will not conform to any simple general type. Some will be reported as meetings, speeches, interviews and publications. Some will appear as trials and lawsuits. Even crimes, accidents, fire, illnesses and deaths may affect the economic life of the community. Just as these story variety run the gamut of different story types, so also will the story forms vary. Straight news-stories, simple and complex; human interest stories; feature articles--all will be used in presenting the news on business, industry, agriculture and labour.
