There are hundreds of Native American Indian tribes in North America today, each with its own religious beliefs. Because of their (1) for the Earth, many Native Americans are interested in (2) . The Cherokee is just a typical native American tribe from the southeastern United States.

Firstly, people should not (5) such as for food, for medicine, for protection etc. Basically, life is sacred. Taking the life of a plant is (6) as taking the life of an animal. And all of those things should be done (7) .
Secondly, everything man does should (8) . And to give an example (9) , lots of people might go out and get an electric toothbrush. However, the extra electricity necessary to power that toothbrush requires (10) that harms the air, the water and the Great Life. So a manual toothbrush will be (11) .
Thirdly, man should not pollute where he lives. It is not just his home, not just (12) or his country. It’s this planet, (13) called the Earth. People should not pour chemical wastes down the drain because they all (14) in the water.
The Cherokees don’t have a problem with plastic as they don’t have it. They still (15) . There are small things to conserve the natural resources like (16) wastes. There are other simple things they would do--instead of using the car for (17) , save them up so they would use the car as little as possible. And while minimizing the amount of (18) in farming, they may take leftover food and turn it into rich garden compost, an excellent (19) and flower garden. This is the so-called organic gardening. All in all, to many Native Americans, there are both (20) interest in protecting the land.
