Megabites profits beat forecasts as sales rise Fast food giant, Megabite has reported better-than-expected profits for the first quarter, with sales up in Canada. The company earned $650 million in sales, up from $520 million in the previous year. According to its most recent annual report, its profits also soared last year to $56 million from $35 million. In a statement, the companys spokesperson, David Young said low costs of raw materials, equipments, wages, coupled with stable exchange rates accounted for the rise. After careful consideration, I decided to withdraw from the proposed merger between the two companies. The merger, which would have united the two semiconductor manufacturers on May 20, was reconsidered in light of new information released yesterday. We received some unofficial financial data from our long-time partner, Elf Shipping Company. The Greenleaf Company has much more debt than described in their financial statements. Besides, we thought we needed this merger to remain successful and productive in the European market. However, a new study conducted by our business research unit has shown that our market share is increasing. Furthermore, the same study has revealed that adding Greenleafs aging facilities and larger workforce to our company would only weaken our ability to remain competitive in a constantly changing industry. On Friday, May 25, at 2: 00 p.m., I will be holding an information session to further explain this direction and to answer any questions you may have.
